KLRN-TV's "World War II: In Our Words" played in conjunction with Ken Burns' epic documentary "The War". Lee Dunkelberg produced the video for San Antonio's public television station. The project interviewed some 70 people about their World War II experiences, whether in uniform or not. The result was three hours of moving stories from service men and women representing almost every theater in the war and civilians on both sides of the conflict. All of this was done in less than a year. Though the stories are told by San Antonio residents, the documentary speaks from a global perspective. Lee Dunkelberg researched, produced, wrote and narrated the documentary. He also designed the DVD art and produced other companion pieces to "The War" at the same time. ©2001-2011 Dunkelberg Productions |
