Doolittle Goblets Take Off for Reunion

While producing World War II: In Our Words, I had the opportunity to have many once in a lifetime experiences. This was the takeoff of a B-25 carrying ceremonial goblets to the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders. They flew the first strike against Japan's homeland shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Each of the raiders was given a goblet with his name on it. The goblets of those who died since the last reunion are turned upside down during a ceremony every year. Special thanks to the crew of "The Yellow Rose" and "Pacific Prowler" B-25 Mitchell bombers.
I was supposed to fly, but the B-25 carrying me was grounded by weather. Still, it was great to be part of the event.
