Lee Dunkelberg has won many awards in different fields over the course of his career including honors for reporting, commentary, cartooning, video production and community service.
However, it's the work and thrill of a job well done that mean the most to him.
You can be sure of one thing when you put Lee on your job. He will put his all into giving you the product you want and one of which you can be proud.
Lee brings a background of reporting (newspaper, magazine, radio and television) and award-winning performances on both sides of the camera. Most of all, he brings dedication and a strong work ethic to jobs big and small.
Lee began in print at The Dallas Morning News, prior to working as a congressional aide and then drifting into broadcasting. His investigative reporting has won awards. More importantly, it has made a mark and made changes. In the course of his career, he has stayed in the action as much as possible.
Lee Dunkelberg's shining work is in his documentaries. He recently finished a project with KLRN-TV in San Antonio, Texas, that produced three and a half hours of area residents and their stories of World War II, World War II: In Our Words. He is particularly proud of Heroes, a look at three Texas hispanic men who received the Congressional Medal of Honor during World War II. All three settled in San Antonio and Heroes not only tells their stories, it tells how their families and the community work to preserve the memory of their gallantry.
USS Lexington: Always Ready! is the official video of USS Lexington Museum on the Bay in Corpus Christi and was produced for the museum and KEDT-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lee even stayed aboard the World War II aircraft carrier as he prepared what would be his first national award-winning documentary. Besides picking up a Silver Telley Award and other honors, the KEDT-TV production was shown on several stations across the country.
Lee also is available for acting in stage, screen, radio and television and has done them all professionally.
